We supply two visually captivating micro-turbines, specifically designed with a low cut-in speed to ensure production even on less windy days.
Powertech offer two turbines, suitable for off-grid systems. Produced energy is stored in batteries and a suitable inverter used to provide 230V 50Hz AC.
We do not believe that small grid connected turbines represent appropriate technology, and therefore our turbines do not have a grid connect option.
A small 400W or 1kW turbine is not sufficient to power a home. It is essential that the turbine is located in a sufficiently windy site. In an urban environment this would mean that the turbine would have to be located high above the rooftop. As such, we do not believe locating micro turbines in an urban environment is cost effective.
Wind turbines are ideal as part of a solution for providing power in remote applications, where there are ideal wind conditions.
Turbines can be installed in either wall-mounted or free-standing locations. We supply our micro-turbines as DIY packages only.
