“Falcon Rural Housing is a pioneering developer of affordable housing exclusively for local people in the villages of Somerset and Devon.  Falcon is renowned for building the highest quality homes that are highly sustainable both in construction methods and energy use.  Every home is now constructed from timber frame panels using only the best certified timber from sustainable forests.  Every home has a solar hot water system, heat recovery and ventilation units and climate control.  We no longer need to install boilers.  Ever mindful of the causes and effects of Global warming our aim is to minimize the ecological footprint of the homes we build, whilst also making them healthy and affordable places in which to live.  We only house local people and the homes here are either rented for in the region of £70 per week or sold under our own fixed equity scheme “Falcon Homes” for in the region of £80,000.”
